Longview, Washington R A Long High School Class of 2008 Donates 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 Foot Oil Paint of "80 years of Excellences"

 

The Beginning

 

Class President Marcus Irwin views the lay-out of the painting.

 

Pencil Sketch is transferred onto the 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 Foot canvas.

 

Marcus views progress, working closely with Barbara

 

Work Progresses Marcus and Andy Byrum brings items to be added and consults with Barbara

 

Project nears completion.

 

After nearly 420 hours of Painting the finished collage is framed and moved to R A Long High School.

R.A. Long alum John Lile built the Frame.

With help from his Dad and Brother, Marcus mounted the glass and helped with transporting

"80 years of Excellence" from Barbara's Studio to the school.

 

At a ceramony on September 25th 2008 the painting was presented to Principle Frost and the school.
